The international experience goes far beyond the traditional boundaries of education.

Mandatory International Mobility

At ENSEM, full-time students are required to spend a minimum of 17 weeks abroad during their studies in order to obtain their engineering degree. For students enrolled in the apprenticeship track, the required duration of international mobility is reduced to 9 weeks.

This mobility can take the form of an academic exchange, a double-degree program, or an internship abroad.
Departures are authorized in semester 8 (S8) or semester 9 (S9) for academic exchanges, and in semester 9 (S9) for double-degree programs.
In addition, ENSEM offers international internship opportunities, enabling students to gain valuable professional experience with leading companies abroad. These internships play a crucial role in the students’ professional development, providing valuable exposure to multicultural work environments and preparing them for global careers in electrical and mechanical engineering.

ENSEM has developed international partnerships with numerous universities, with a total of 60 exchange agreements and 15 double-degree agreements.

Procedure and Timeline

For academic exchanges or double-degree programs, your mobility project must first be approved by the ENSEM academic committee.
You will need to prepare an application so that a commission can verify that you meet both ENSEM’s and the partner university’s eligibility criteria.

Application deadlines:
• June 15 for departures in semester 8 (S8)
• January 15 for departures in semester 9 (S9)

Once your mobility project has been approved by ENSEM, you may apply directly to the partner university (each university has its own deadlines and application procedures, detailed on their respective websites).

Of course, the ENSEM International Relations Office will assist you throughout the entire process.

Financial Support for Mobility

Think studying abroad is out of reach financially? Don’t worry!

Several types of financial support are available to help you complete your study or internship project abroad:
• CROUS mobility grants for students with social criteria scholarships (AMI)
• Erasmus+ grants
• University of Lorraine Mobility Aid (AMOBUL)
• Mobility Aid from the Grand Est Region
• Stoufflet and Vogt scholarships awarded by the ENSEM Alumni Association
• The International Relations Office will provide guidance on the administrative steps needed to apply for financial support.

17 semaines en formation initiale, 9 semaines en formation par apprentissage.

En étudiant en France ,vous effectuez déjà une mobilité internationale et validez de fait ce quitus.

Je ne suis pas concerné si je peux attester d’un baccalauréat étranger.

Il faudra soumettre un dossier pour l’ENSEM pour fin août. Si la commission valide la demande, vous serez nominé.e et les candidatures se feront en suite en octobre.

Il faudra soumettre un dossier pour l’ENSEM pour décembre pour les double diplômes, et pour le 15 janvier pour les échanges. Si votre demande est validée par l’ENSEM, les candidatures se font entre janvier et mars pour les double diplômes et entre février et mai pour les échanges.

Pour obtenir un diplôme ENSEM il faut passer 3 semestres académiques à l’école et faire un stage. Il n’est donc pas possible d’effectuer une mobilité académique. Effectuer un stage à l’international reste possible.
